Here I go, oozing up on 10k pageviews and so I vomited forth another, and hopefully offensive, cartoon to celebrate this auspicious occasion. Is it mean to pick on the lowest on the nerd food chain? I suppose it is. Well at least I didn't add a front flap on the costume so our delusional friend could seed the furry population with greater ease--I'm just not that crass and Lucius is concerned I'll take this theme and run with it. So restraint is in order.
Now some deviants like to offer awards (kiribans) for helping them hit key pageview numbers and so I'm sitting here now wondering what my twisted watchers would want if I did the same thing.
But hit and run viewers aren't worth much in the end. Why go through the trouble of drawing a special piece to someone who doesn't even care enough to add you to their watch column? Or even put a single drawing in their favorites? They'd be like cheap lovers who love you and leave you standing there with a used condom and a worrying rash. No. That isn't for me. I appreciate my fellow Lucius lovers and I'm afraid I'd make it a rule that you be on my list to qualify.
What do you think of rewards for hitting certain numbers? Have you done it and regretted it? Or been glad you did? Or do you think people who do so are the cheap sluts of the art world? Not that your opinion will change what I ultimately do, but I'm curious. Maybe I'll offer something, maybe I won't. I haven't decided. It largely depends on whether or not I can spare the time--I'm busy as fuck these days.
So how 'bout it? What's your view on kiribans?
Let me know!
